Introduction:

Due to continued business growth & expansion in Southeast Asia, Trip.com Group has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and commercially astute Airline Director to join our friendly team in Thailand.

Reporting to the Airline Director Southeast Asia, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the airline commercial strategy to drive fight segment growth and flight market share within Thailand.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

Responsibility for working with various internal stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Flight Product, Revenue Management and Operational teams in both Shanghai and across the APAC region
Establish effective networking partnerships between new and existing contacts to support the development and implementation of innovative commercial business opportunities
Provide analyses of competitive environments and identify proactive sales and commercial initiatives accordingly
Analyse complex data and use insights to drive revenue generating / share shifting actions for the flights line of business
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and potential business partners, which includes representing Trip.com at all airline and industry events in Thailand.
Accountable for managing & negotiating various global, regional and local commercial agreements with key airline partners with responsibility for implementing initiatives and strategies to drive commercial effectiveness
Responsibility for leading and managing one (1) direct report in Thailand

What you'll Need to Succeed:

Language skills –Business level English and Thai language are must.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Results orientated and experience working to strict deadlines
Cross functional experience (product development & project management experience)
Experience developing and implementing initiatives to drive performance with key airline partners.
Superior knowledge of the online travel market as well as an understanding of primary sales channels operating within this environment.
Ability to work autonomously and lead a wide variety of projects at a time whilst working to strict deadlines.
A good knowledge of travel industry and previous experience with travel technology products preferred
Proven experience managing and building client relationships and growing business success in a B2B market
Proven and demonstrated experience with leading and closing commercial negotiations
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to use data to identify underlying trends and make informed commercial decisions
Self-starter mentality, intrinsically motivated and comfortable blazing a completely new path and defining innovative solutions for our airline partners
Consistent and proven track record in successfully managing key accounts and driving revenue growth
Bachelor’s degree or above, minimum 7-10 years of commercial experience within an Airline, Travel Agency or GDS background
